THE STATE HOUSE COLUMNS
	The massive columns adorning the front portico are each cut from one solid piece of stone and are believed to be the largest monolithic columns used in a building in the United States. Because the columns were lying on the ground at the time of the burning of Columbia, they survived the general destruction the rest of the city experienced. Additional Images
